Pakistan's World Cup Schedule

Its Out! The World Cup 2007 Schedule is out. As we all knew Pakistan has a fairly good group: Pakistan, West Indies, Zimbabwe and Ireland. Their chances of making it out of the group are fairly good.

Warm up Matches

Mar 6, 2007: Pakistan Vs. Ireland
Should be a nice, easy start for the team. Pakistan should use this opportunity to get some youngsters key experiences

Mar 9, 2007: Pakistan Vs. South Africa
Pakistan will face their first major challenge of the cup. The South Africans will be aching to establish their stature as contenders against the Pakistanis

Group Matches

Mar 13, 2007: Pakistan Vs. West Indies
In this emotional start to the World Cup, Pakistan will be up tough against a West Indies team which will surely be buoyed on by a home crowd aching for a positive start to the World Cup

Mar 17, 2007: Pakistan Vs. Ireland
Should be a win, but remember Pakistan did lose to Bangladesh in '99.

Mar 21, 2007: Pakistan Vs. Zimbabwe
Pakistan will most likely be fighting for their lives here, after having lost one of the first two matches. By all rights, Pakistan should have no difficult making it out of the first round.

The Super 8 round is next, but the schedule is too convluted to be able to predict where Pakistan will play.
