I think we are seeing a new incarnation of Shoaib Akhtar! Shoaib Akhtar the team player. It appears that Shoaib Akhtar had been asked by doctors to rest a bruised ankle after the test series, but elected to play the first 4 one-dayers, to maintain team unity? Is this the same Shoaib Akhtar that would disappear for weeks from the squad because of any injury? Maybe I'm being unfair, but this does speak well of Inzamam and Woolmer, in the positive environment they have created in the dressing room.
