After winning the test series decisively, Pakistan has announced a squad of 14 for the first two one dayers against England. Abdul Razzaq is back, and with the absence of Shabbir and Afridi, Mohammad Asif and Yasir Arafat have been added. Asim Kamal and Hasan Raza have been left out and Yasir Hameed brought in.
The more interesting permutations will play out once Shahid Afridi is back. Where will Abdul Razzaq fit in? Will Pakistan play Sami, Shoaib and Naved, and also persist with Afridi and Razzaq? What happens with Shoaib Malik, as that gives Pakistan 6 bowlers? If Malik is in, then that leaves 4 spots for batsmen: Younis, Inzy, Yousuf and maybe Salman? Not a bad lineup.
Inzamam-ul-Haq (capt), Salman Butt, Shoaib Malik, Yasir Hameed, Mohammad Yousuf, Younis Khan, Abdul Razzaq, Kamran Akmal (wk), Yasir Arafat, Rana Naved-ul-Hasan, Shoaib Akhtar, Mohammad Sami, Danish Kaneria, Mohammad Asif.
