Injured Rana to consult specialist
FAISALABAD: Pakistan pacer Rana Naved-ul-Hasan will consult a specialist to find out if a niggling shoulder problem will keep him out of the third and final Test against India starting from January 29 in Karachi. "He couldn’t play the second Test because of his shoulder problem. He will consult the specialist to find out if he can be available for the third Test," Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Director Abbas Zaidi told Reuters on Sunday. Rana was replaced by Abdul Razzaq in the side for the ongoing second Test in Faisalabad. "I am feeling some pain in the shoulder and it is the same injury which afflicted me last year during the tour of India," Rana said. "I’ve had scans on the shoulder and they’ve come clear but the pain is still there." Rana said he could not have played in the second Test. Pakistani chief selector Wasim Bari said it was too early to say if Rana would be ruled out of the third Test. "His initial scans are okay but we are sending him to a specialist so that we are sure it is not a serious injury," he added.
