It was reported here in this space, a few days ago that Asif and Faisal Iqbal were to be given central contracts. It now appears that they will be getting "retainers" and not contracts, according to the PCB. It appears that the difference is perhaps only in semantics, not in any actual terms. In both cases, players receive a set monthly stipend, seperate from any other match fees that they might get for actually playing. Potato, Potato really.
