Sometimes I wonder if the PCB is paid not to
improve Pakistani cricket, but to actually
screw it up. After a reasonably successful
Sri Lankan tour, where all spoke highly of the
contributions of Zaheer Abbas and Waqar Younis,
it appears that the PCB does not want either
In another story, it seems that Inzamam had to
use all of his powers of persuasion, to convince
team. And this is after all of the players, like
Abdul Razzaq and Mohammad Asif actually
praised and thanked Waqar for his assistance
in preparing and playing in the matches. Further,
it was Waqar who in the space of three matches,
completely resolved the Pakistani problem
of no-balls which has been plaguing the team.
Why will the PCB just not let the players play,
and leave all of this political nay-saying out
of the game.
