Soon after the announcement of the 17 man squad for South Africa, Shoaib Akhtar apparently had a stormy 15 minute meeting with Dr. Nasim Ashraf, PCB Chairman. Hopefully Shoaib was able to keep his cool with the higher-ups at the PCB, otherwise egos could hamper future selections for Shoaib Akhtar. Kamran Abbasi spoke in his blog, at Pak Spin with cricinfo, about the decreasing sympathy within Pakistan's cricketing community for Shoaib Akhtar, and if Shoaib plans to get vehement about this, one wonders what will happen in the future.
