Mercy, Mercy Me!

I've surprised myself. I have just agreed and found laudable, a decision taken by Nasim Ashraf. I totally concur that if Asif and Umar Gul can't keep their fitness to play international cricket, they have no business participating in high intensity county cricket for extended periods. If they had been able to demonstrate their fitness over an extended period of time, then it might be a different story. It will hurt them in the pocketbook, but all in all, it will do their international careers good, and force them to spend more time in Pakistani domestic cricket, and hopefully elevate the standard of our local game. I hate to do this, but I agree with Ashraf here. I'm feeling all torn and ripped up inside!
