A fighting 117* by Inzamam, truly a captain's knock, has helped Pakistan to a total of 309, setting the WI a target of 280 in their second innings. Despite starting the day in a strong position at 223-4, wickets fell fast and furious to some disciplined bowling by Best (4-46). Afridi started the morning in typical Afridi fashion taking his overnight score of 16* to 43 before holing out to midwicket. Razzaq, Akmal, Naved and Shabbir fell in fairly quick succession. In the midst of this debacle, Inzy was caught behind stopping all Pakistani hearts until Darrell Hair signalled a no-ball. Collymore ended up with 11 wickets, with 4-56.
Inzy has done all he could, with support from Shoaib Malik, Younis Khan and Shahid Afridi. It is now upto the Pakistani bowlers to show their mettle in the second innings. A result is at hand.
