Shoaib Akhtar without a Contract?

More blustering from the PCB. Supposedly now they are considering whether they should even offer Shoaib Akhtar a central contract after he has played limited cricket for the last seven months! Now I realize there have been personality conflicts, and Shoaib isn't necessarily the easiest person to get along with, yet Shoaib is perhaps our only strike bowler at this time. He is a genuine threat to take wickets everytime he has the ball. Pakistan's almost toothless attack in the first test against the West Indies should have dissuaded the PCB from making such a blanket statement. Let the man recover, let him have a bowl and if problems continue then this step can be considered. Shoaib does seem to be trying to turn a new leaf: he's hired a PR guy, is participating in charity walks, and has even turned down a Bollywood movie to concentrate on his career! Give the man a chance!
