BBC SPORT | Cricket | International Teams | Pakistan | Pakistan bowler Shabbir suspended
Well it seems that another Pakistani bowler has seriously run afoul of the cricketing powers that be. Shabbir Ahmed, who bowled extremely well in every chance the Pakistani Cricket Board has given him, has now been fully suspended by the ICC. Although Shoaib Malik has successfuly transformed his action into a legal one, it will probably be difficult for Shabbir, a swinging pacer.
All of these, as Salim Altaf has alluded to, relate to the almost minimal coaching Pakistani players get in their younger years. Bad habits, which may be minor at first, are not corrected by watchful eyes, and they persist. Increasing attention has to be given towards establishing junior cricket academies all across Pakistan, and emphasis placed on providing more coaching to younger individuals.
