In what must really be a first in Pakistani cricket, Arshad Khan has been told by Allied Bank, a sponsor of the test series against India, to report back to his marketing job at the bank, and sit out of the one day series!
The PCB and Shaharyar Khan better deal with this. Pakistani cricketers have to work at these various organizations and government groups to earn an income sufficient for their personal expenses. Through major institutions like the Allied Bank, this is made possible, and if they begin to behave like this, where will it all end?
Arshad Khan has become a valuable member of the Pakistani side, and appears to be a mentor in many ways to the younger players. Further, he is a solid contributor in the ODIs. The PCB must deal with this.
