Alas that it had to end this way. Pakistan lost the fifth ODI to India convincingly by 8 wickets. Yuvraj and Dhoni played decisively to end any hope Pakistan may have had for saving face in this match.
Not that there is any need for panic, Pakistan needs to be concerned that their fielding and bowling were unable to defend a total of 286, despite the calibre of the wicket. The most concerning issue is really the fielding as no one will doubt that the bowling attack's talents. Bob Woolmer , the coach, alluded to that in his press conference, as he spoke out about the teams poor fielding performance. This is an area which will need work, as India througout the series were able to make a psychological impact on the team by their excellent fielding. There is work ahead, but this is a squad which has the heart and the ability.
