Looks like Pakistan is going to get another coach. From the BBC, it appears that Pakistan is all but ready to hire Jonty Rhodes to improve their abysmal fielding. Lets see how this turns out, as even though the hiring of Waqar Younis and Zaheer Abbas was initially quite well received, PCB politics are keeping the Pakistani cricketing heavy weights from being able to do what they can to improve the side.
It was in 2005, however, that Jonty said he wanted nothing to do with cricket anymore, yet perhaps it is the amount of money being offered by Pakistan, or maybe even the chance to work with Woolmer again, that is enticing for Rhodes. It would be good for this squad to have an exacting professional like Rhodes to drive their improvement in fielding.
