Doping tests get stranger by the day

The doping tests saga just can't get any stranger or weirder. First, despite no media source being willing to acknowledge that Shahid Afridi hasn't been playing in a charity match, but cavorting with the stars, he will be undergoing doping tests tomorrow. Good on Shahid, but someone still needs to take him to task.

The issue with Shoaib Akhtar and Mohammad Asif just gets curiouser and curiouser. It now appears that Shoaib flew through Pakistan, before going to Malaysia to, get this "shoot a commercial!" A guy who has an injured knee, whose career is under threat because of doping issues, going to shoot a commercial just days before the World Cup? What the heck is going on here. I wrote about professionalism a few days ago, as did other bloggers, but this is getting just simply ridiculous. Where is the team discipline? Where is the team's sense of propriety so close to their biggest test?

I think I'm sounding like a broken drum now.
