Saqlain Mushtaq, (yes he is still around) has signed a two year contract with Sussex. I must say, for one of the leading off-spinners in the game at his prime, I can't understand why he has not been recalled to the Pakistan squad. I mean he has got to be better than Arshad Khan, who couldn't even get his bank to give him time away to play for Pakistan! Further, if Saqlain is ready to play for England by 2008, he will only be 31, and arguably entering his prime as a spinner. Both Shane Warne and Murali have been playing at a high level even now. Its about time Pakistan gave him a chance again, specially as a leading spinner in ODIs. Its not like we have a plethora of ODI spinners in the squad or on the up and up.
