Not satisfied with whatever modicum of control they had over the future of the sport of cricket in Pakistan, Dr. Ashraf and PJ Mir, tv compere, have decided that they want even more control over the cricketers throughout the World Cup. This time the control is about what they say. For whatever reason, the English speaking coach of Pakistan, Bob Woolmer, let everyone know that the players from henceforth will speak in Urdu to all reporters, with Pervez Mir being the translator in chief. Somehow, I don't think they would have gotten away with this with Imran Khan and/or Javed Miandad.Friday, March 09, 2007
