Wow, what a day, what a day!

Pakistan finally displayed a reasonable, if not superlative batting performance. After a good start, a small collapse and some close calls, Pakistan has ended the day in good position to reach atleast around 400.

Salman Butt and Shoaib Malik put together a reasonable opening stand of 53, but from then on, Pakistan went on to lose 3 wickets for 20 runs, with Younis Khan falling away cheaply at 7.

As has been the case many a time, Mohammad Yousuf and Inzamam settled down and put together a 128 run partnership which took up most of the day, before Yousuf got out to Ian Bell's part-time bowling. And then Afridi came. I've been asking for Afridi to be here for a while now. In 62 balls, he hammered 67 runs with 4 sixes and 5 fours, basically terrorizing the English side.

The tail is one wicket away, and Inzy and Afridi better figure things out for a reasonable stand because things won't hang around long after they go. 400 would be a reasonable score.
