Signal from headquarters? Bari for keeping Gul out?

Wasim Bari, chief selector, has almost unequivocally stated that Pakistan would be better served by leaving Umar Gul out for the next test. His concerns are valid, specially for a young player who has already missed a year due to a stress fracture. Bringing him back sooner may provide the team with a psychological boost, but it may hamper Umar Gul's immediate, if not long-term, future. With Shoaib Akhtar ready to go, that might be all the boost the team needs for the second test. The final decision is of course Bob Woolmer and Inzamam's to make.
